NASHVILLE, Ill. — The Queen of Hearts jackpot at the Nashville American Legion will grow for yet another week. Interest has been at a fever pitch after Wednesday night’s pot grew to more than $250,000, but there was still no winner after Wednesday night’s drawing.

Ticket number 4269 was drawn, but the owner, Bob Detmer, was not on hand. Organizers drew a card for him, and it was the five of clubs.  Had the queen been drawn, Detmer would have taken home half the pot since he was not present.

A huge crowd gathered at the American Legion, with shuttles bringing people to the hall.  Organizers expect another frenzy next week, with the pot projected to reach more than $300,000.
