FAYETTE COUNTY — A 70-year-old Ramsey man was fatally injured in an automobile crash Wednesday when he pulled into the path of an oncoming car in rural Ramsey.The man was identified as

Fayette County Coroner Bruce Bowen has identified the man as Sheredith Durbin. Bowen says the crash occurred at the intersection of county roads 1400E and 2800N, when a pickup truck driven by Durbin was traveling southbound on 1400E and pulled into the path of a westbound car driven by Shawna Storm, also of Ramsey.

The Fayette County Sheriff’s Office and Ramsey Fire Department responded to the scene. Bowen pronounced Durbin dead at the scene at 5:04 p.m. The crash remains under investigation by the Fayette County Coroner and Illinois State Police.
