MARION, Ill. — The Marion Police Department’s new Narcotics Unit began its first official day Monday with a couple of arrests.
Officials say the unit began the day with a search warrant in the 900 block of West Cherry Street.
Thirty-seven-year-old Tyron Watson of Marion was arrested and charged with unlawful use of a weapon by a felon. Two handguns were seized along with various drug paraphernalia and ammunition.
Fifty-one-year-old Angel Cosby was charged with possession of a weapon with no valid FOID card.

Any information is useful, but police say the type of activities observed or suspected, the location and times of the activity, names, ages, and descriptions of the participants and descriptions and license plates of any involved vehicles is particularly helpful.
