CHICAGO — A threatening email allegedly sent to Illinois Governor Bruce Rauner has landed a 24-year-old Chicago man in jail.

Eric Pence has been charged with threatening a public official and harassment using an electronic device after he allegedly emailed a threatening letter to Rauner.

Police say he also sent threatening emails to the DuPage County Sheriff’s Office.

Pence is being held in the DuPage County Jail on $250,000 bond.
