EAST ST. LOUIS — A 20-year-old Springfield, Illinois woman has been formally charged in federal court in East St. Louis with two counts alleged bank robbery in connection with two separate bank robberies in Madison County.

Adrianna C. Frye-Williamson was ordered held without bond pending a February 16 hearing. Williams is accused of robbing the National Bank in Edwardsville on January 20, 2017, and of then robbing the U.S. Bank in Glen Carbon, Illinois on February 9.

If convicted, Williams could face a term in prison of up to 20 years on each count, a fine up to $250,000 and a term of supervised release of up to five (5) years.

The cases were investigated by the Edwardsville Police Department, Glen Carbon Police Department and the Federal Bureau of Investigation with assistance from the Springfield Illinois Police. The case is assigned to Assistant United States Attorney Ali Summers.
