FATYETTE COUNTY — A 42-year-old Missouri man already facing charges in Fayette County Court of traveling to meet a minor and grooming has now had multiple counts of possession of child pornography added to his case.

Shelby D. Weston has been charged with six counts of child pornography.

According to court information, Weston “possessed three photographs and one video of a child the defendant should have reasonably known to be under the age of 13.”

Four of the new counts are Class 2 felonies, punishable by three to seven years in prison.

The two other new charges are Class 3 felonies punishable by between two and five years in prison if convicted.

According to court information, those two charges stem from two photographs of a child the defendant according to information in the charge “should have reasonably known to be under the age of 18.”

Weston is scheduled for a pre-trial December 19 on the previous charges of grooming and traveling to meet a minor and at that time will be advised of the additional charges against him. He remains in Fayette County Jail with bail set at $250,000.
