CENTRALIA — A Centralia man was taken to SSM Health St. Mary’s Hospital early Friday morning for burns to his face and forearms.

According to fire officials, William Price was burned by a propane burner he was using for heat flared and caused his burns.

Price initially called firefighters to the East 14th address for an alleged car fire. However, when firefighters arrived just after 1:45 Friday morning, they found Price suffering from Second Degree burns to his forearms and minor burns to his face.

He reportedly told officials that he had been living in his car and had attached a lean-to tent to the outside of the vehicle. He said when he was burned when he tried to light the burner for heat.
