FAYETTE COUNTY — A 34-year-old Vandalia woman has been sentenced to 4-years in prison after she pleaded guilty Friday in Fayette County Court to one of 18 criminal charges against her.

Crystal D. Anderson was facing both criminal and misdemeanor charges filed against her in three separate cases is 2017, that included felony charges of possessing methamphetamine, delivery of methamphetamine, escape, and bringing cannabis and a controlled substance into a penal institution.

 

Anderson pleaded guilty to one Class 2 felony charge of delivery of less than 5 grams of meth in exchange for the other charges being dismissed.

She was sentenced to 4-years in the Illinois Department of Corrections and is to serve additional 2-years of supervised release at the end of that prison term.

She was ordered to pay almost $1,800 in fines and fees, and was given credit for 134 days already served in jail. All money that had been seized during Anderson’s arrest was ordered tobe returned to the circuit clerk to pay for court costs.
