WILLIAMSON COUNTY — A 34-year-old Marion man was arrested Tuesday on a warrant out of Williamson County for the delivery of cocaine.
According to Marion police, Derek Woods was taken into custody following a brief foot pursuit with a Marion officer.
Woods was subsequently searched and was reportedly found to be in possession of methamphetamine, cocaine, cannabis, drug paraphernalia and cash.
He was charged in Williamson County court with possession of between 5 and 15 grams of methamphetamine with the intent to deliver, possession of cocaine, possession of cannabis, possession of drug paraphernalia, and resisting a peace officer.
Woods was also charged with delivery of cocaine, delivery of cannabis, possession of cannabis and possession of drug paraphernalia, which stemmed from investigations dating back to 2016.
The investigations were conducted by the Marion Police Department and the Southern Illinois Enforcement Group.
