FRANKLIN COUNTY — A Mt. Vernon couple is in the Franklin County Jail after they were arrested on charges of burglary and theft in rural Sesser.

According to our sister station, WQRL in Benton, 47-year-old Christine Whitlock and her husband, 46-year-old David L. Whitlock were arrested Thursday.

The burglary and theft reportedly involved items taken from a storage unit and a boat. Several items of stolen property have been recovered.

The Jefferson County Sheriff’s Office assisted in the arrests.
