FAYETTE COUNTY — Bail has been set at $700,000 for a 59-year-old Vandalia man charged in Fayette County court with multiple counts production of child pornography.

Dennis J. Pickens was charged Monday with four Class X felony charges production of child pornography. He was advised in court of the charges against him and possible punishments if convicted.
According to court records, the charges stem from three videos Pickens allegedly produced that depict a victim under the age of 18 and one video containing two victims under the age of 18.
A warrant was issued Friday for Pickens’ arrest and he was taken into custody that day. He’s next due in court October 11 for a first appearance and preliminary hearing with his court appointed attorney.
Pickens remains in the Fayette County Jail.
