FRANKLIN COUNTY — A 29-year-old former Benton Consolidated High School employee is facing a felony charge in Franklin County of soliciting a minor.

Jeremy J. Jackson was the high school Computer/Network Specialist and Webmaster before resigning his position in a letter at a July 19, school board meeting.

A complaint was filed against Jackson on August 6 and a $20,000 warrant was issued for his arrest that same day, charging him with felony solicitation of a person under the age of 18.

Jackson was taken into custody on August 7. He posted $2,000 bond and was released.

Probable cause to pursue prosecution was found in court last week during a preliminary hearing when evidence was presented.

Jackson is next scheduled to appear in court November 8 for a pre-trial hearing.
