JEFFERSON COUNTY — A 20-year-old Mt. Vernon man was sentenced Wednesday in Jefferson County court to 4-years in prison on charges of attempted robbery and attempted home invasion in connection with his involvement in the January 2017 attempted robbery and shooting death of DeAndray Jackson.

Deon Frazier was the final of nine adult and one juvenile defendants to be sentenced on charges related to Jackson’s death.
The other defendants include:
John Wells who was sentenced to 70 years in the Department of Corrections on a murder conviction; Jarron Liddell received conditional discharge for obstructing; Dantrez Brown was sentenced to 2-years in prison for obstructing justice; Lamar Williams Jr. received 5 years in the Department of Corrections for being a felon in possession of firearm; Lekedrieon Russell received 15 years for attempted robbery and attempted home invasion; Curtis Devan Jr. was sentenced to 27 months in prison for obstructing justice; Gerrodo Forest is serving 13 years for attempted home invasion; Tony Feggins received 4-years for obstructing justice; and juvenile Z.P. – was sentenced to 15 years for attempted robbery and attempted home invasion.
