EAST ST. LOUIS — A 59-year-old Centralia woman has pleaded guilty to multiple counts of a federal indictment charging her with distributing illegal drugs in Marion County over several years.

Anthonette “Big Mama” Strowder was arrested in June 2017 on a seven-count federal indictment.

Strowder pleaded guilty last week in federal court in East St. Louis to counts 2 through 7 of the seven-count indictment. She’s scheduled to be sentenced March 4, 2019, on those offenses.

Count 2 charged that on or about June 15, 2017, in Marion County, Strowder possessed with the intent to distribute 5-grams or more of methamphetamine, or 50 grams or more of a mixture containing meth.

Count 3 charged on June 13, 2017, Strowder distributed meth, and Count 4 she distributed on June 14, 2017, she again distributed meth.

Counts 5, 6 and 7 charged that between November 18 and 21, 2014, Strowder distributed cocaine in Marion County.

After she pleaded guilty to those counts December 5, Strowder was ordered to turn herself over to the U. S. Marshal Service no later than December 7, 2018, to await her sentencing.
