FAYETTE COUNTY — A 30-year-old Vandalia man who was wanted on an outstanding warrant for battery of a pregnant woman and violation of the sex offender registry was arrested over the weekend, after the Fayette County Sheriff’s Office appealed to the public for information on his whereabouts.

Tyler Dean Cripe was arrested Friday. The Fayette County Sheriff’s Office shared a post last week on their Facebook page asking the public for help in locating Cripe and noting a reward for information was possible.

It’s unclear if his capture came as a result of information provided to Fayette County Crimestoppers.
