FRANKLIN COUNTY — A former substitute teacher from Franklin County man is now facing several counts of grooming and child pornography charges after he was supposed to have appeared in Franklin County Court Tuesday.

Twenty-six-year-old Nicholas Price and his lawyer did not show up for court Tuesday. Hours later, Price was facing several new charges including child pornography.
Price was arrested Jan. 14 after finishing subbing at Ewing Grade School after complaints of sex crimes with multiple minors were reported. He was charged that day with grooming and distributing harmful material to minors.
Price is now charged with six counts of grooming and one count of child pornography. That’s according to WSIL-TV. Price is no longer a substitute teacher in Franklin County as Regional Supt. Lorie LeQuatte took him off the list.
Price is currently out on bond. He will be in court again for another hearing March 14.
Price’s brother-in-law, Jeremy Jackson, was arrested in 2018 for solicitation of a sexual act to a minor.
Jackson worked at Benton High School at the time he was charged.
