According to Mt. Vernon Police Chief Trent Page, Katherine Stroud was arrested Thursday on a Jefferson County arrest warrant charging her with Class X felony home invasion.
Page says an MVPD patrol officer responded May 7 to a report of forced entry at a residence in the 1100 block of Gaskins in Mt. Vernon. One resident of the home reportedly suffered a minor injury during the incident.
Following the patrol officer’s initial report, detectives with MVPD initiated an investigation that was subsequently submitted to the Jefferson County State’s Attorney’s Office and the warrant was issued Thursday.
Bail for Stroud has been set at $75,000 and she’s scheduled for a June 2 preliminary hearing and first appearance with her court-appointed attorney.
