Amanda Leigh (Hawkins) Johnston, 43, of Arnold, Missouri, passed away at 6:35 a.m. Sunday, December 25, 2022, at Mercy Hospital South, in St. Louis, Missouri.

            She was born May 11, 1979, in El Paso, Texas, the daughter of Allan Dale and Kathy (Gillespie) Hawkins. She graduated from Fox C6 High School, and attended Jefferson College, and the University of Missouri, and was a member of Mehlville Baptist Church, in Mehlville, Missouri.

            She is survived by her children, Emerald Kate Johnston and Maxwell Alexander Johnston of Arnold, Missouri; parents, Allan Dale and Kathy Hawkins of Arnold, Missouri; brother, Allan Dale Hawkins, II, of Columbia, Illinois; and dear friends, the Galayda family.

            Amanda was preceded in death by her grandparents, and a cousin, Frank Bradford Bush.

            In accordance with her wishes, cremation rites have been accorded, and a memorial service will be held at 12:00 p.m. (noon), Friday, December 30, 2022, at Panther Fork Baptist Church, with Rev. Bruce Hawkins officiating. Burial will occur at a later date.
