CENTRALIA — Nancy Kay Grimes, 67 of Centralia, Illinois passed away at Doctors Nursing and Rehabilitation Center in Salem, her daughter Stacie and companion Bert by her side.

Born September 13, 1955, in Salem, IL, she was the daughter of Dr. Richard P. Grimes and Bernadine (Bozett) Grimes – Harmon who preceded her in death.

Simple cremation was selected with no service planned. Burial will be private. Nancy, a licensed LPN always worked in healthcare. She had a deep love for animals, especially her horses. She loved her children, her family and the time they spent at her lake house on Centralia Lake.

Survivors include the love of her life, Bert Meadows of Centralia, three daughters, Stacie Winkler of Wayne City, IL, Kellie Winkler of Oklahoma, and Marlo Urban of North Carolina, along with grandchildren Jordan Williams, Jacob Winkler, Jayden Wooten and Derrick Duncan. Also her beautiful great-granddaughter, Aurora Winkler. She is also survived by nieces and nephews, Kathie Garrett, Jill Long and Sam Grimes.

In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death recently by her grandson Joshua Winkler; brothers Jim Grimes, Capt. Richard P. Grimes and step-father Donald Harmon.
