CENTRALIA — Shirley Ann (Orric) Jones, 76, of Centralia, IL passed away peacefully with her daughter by her side on June 4, 2023.

Shirley was born October 4th, 1946 in Flora, IL. To the parents of Samuel L Orric and Mamie L (Smith) Orric. She married Hershel D. Jones, Jr on June 19th, 1965.
Shirley is survived by her daughter Kristina Lorenzini (Tim) of Woodlawn, IL. Her son Doug Jones (Michelle) of Kearney, MO. Grandchildren: Bethany Lorenzini, Tyler Lorenzini, Baylea Jones, Kindyl Jones, and Tucker Jones. Her sister Wanda Orric (Carmen Conklin) of Nashua, IA. Sister-in-law Anne Marie Romero of Centralia, IL and nephew Greg Romero and niece Kim Romero.

Shirley was preceded in death by her husband Jr, parents, brother Charles Orric, and 2 sons: Gregory S Jones and Anthony G Jones.

Shirley worked for the City of Centralia at the Public Works Department. She enjoyed sewing, reading, and spending time with her grandkids.

A graveside service will be held at 10 a.m. Thursday, June 8, 2023, at Hillcrest Memorial Park in Centralia with Pastor Benton Fitzjerrels officiating.

In lieu of flowers, memorials may be made to St Jude Children’s Hospital and will be accepted at Sutherland-Garnier Funeral Home 235 North Sycamore Street, Centralia, IL 62801, 618-532-3523.
