BLUFORD, Ill. — Linda Jean Lappin, 84, of Bluford, Illinois, passed away at 4:05 pm July 17, 2023 at Mt. Vernon Countryside Manor. She was born October 30, 1938 in Wayne County, Illinois to the late Charlie and Anna (Wakefield) Crask. Linda married Donald Lappin on August 27, 1959 in Wayne County, Illinois and he preceded her in death.

Linda is survived by her children, Debra McNeil and husband, Gilbert of Fairfield, Illinois, Diana White and husband, Harold of Fairfield, Illinois, Jackie Tannahill and husband, Paul of Cisne, Illinois, Sharon Lappin of Fairfield, Illinois; fifteen grandchildren; thirty-four great-grandchildren; brothers, Stanley Crask of Springfield, Illinois and Dennis Crask and wife, Debbie of Marseilles, Illinois; sister, Nancy VanDePol and husband, Ken of Keenes, Illinois; and several nieces and nephews.

In addition to her parents and husband, Linda was preceded in death by her daughters, Jeannette Lappin and Sandra Sweat and brothers, Joe and Jim Crask.

Linda worked at Fairfield Memorial Hospital as a nurses aide. She was of the Baptist Faith and will be greatly missed.

A Graveside Service will be held Saturday, July 22, 2023 at 1:30 pm at Zion Cemetery in Wayne County, Illinois with Pastor Matt Barner officiating. Interment will follow. Memorials may be made in Linda ‘s honor to Wayne County Dr. Scranton Memorial.
