WOODLAWN — James W Garrison, 79, of Woodlawn, Illinois, passed away at 4:24 pm August 17, 2023 at SSM Health Good Samaritan Hospital in Mount Vernon, Illinois. He was born July 21, 1944 in Walnut Hill, Illinois to the late Max and Doris (Munyon) Garrison. James was married to Donna Denning.

James is survived by his sons, Brian Garrison and wife, LeeAnn of Woodlawn, James Garrison of Ashley, Illinois, Brett Garrison of Woodlawn, and Justin Garrison of Mount Vernon; twelve grandchildren; great-grandchildren; sister, Nikki Moore of Cedar Rapids, Iowa; and several nieces and nephews. James was a loving father to his sons.
