CENTRALIA — Paul Jason Booth passed away on August 18, 2023, at the age of 49.

Jason was born on September 13th, 1973 to Janet Fortag.

Jason is survived by his mother, Janet Fortag; grandmother Elva Mueller; sisters Tammy Brozovich and Davalynn Booth; brother Rob Pursley; Aunts Andrea Means and Pat Neff; uncle David Collinsworth Jr.; nieces Tara Kennedy, Tonya Kennedy, Heather Jolliff, and Hillary Booth; nephews Travis Kennedy and Anthony Jolliff; cousins Tia Tarlton, Ricky Means, Brian Means, Nichole Setzakorn, and Joey Collinsworth; great-nieces Addison Sanders, Carsen Griffith, Emma Abernathy, Haylee Roper, Barden Lowery, Clay Kennedy, and Adrian Overton; and special friend Shawn Kuhn.

He was preceded in death by his step-father Kenneth Fortag and his brother Donnie L. Pursley Jr.

Jason was an avid Dallas Cowboys football fan. He also enjoyed watching NASCAR whenever there was a race going on. Jason was an avid golfer. He was always a part of the family functions, and deeply enjoyed gathering with his family and friends. He was a family-oriented man.

Per Jason’s wishes, cremation rites will be accorded. There will be no public services at this time. In lieu of flowers, memorial donations can be made to the family, and can be accepted at Sutherland-Garnier Funeral Home at 235 North Sycamore Street, Centralia, IL 62801. Sutherland-Garnier Funeral Home is honored to be of service to the Booth family.
