MOUNT VERNON — Bryan M Reynolds, 28, of Mount Vernon, Illinois, passed away at 6:26 pm December 28, 2023 at Crossroads Community Hospital in Mount Vernon. He was born June 8, 1995 in Centralia, Illinois to Jeff and Sonya (Kluck) Reynolds.

In addition to his parents, Bryan is survived by his sister, Lindsey Lockwood and husband, William of Mount Vernon, Illinois; grandfather, Max Reynolds; uncle, Matt Reynolds and wife, Jenni of Mount Vernon, Illinois; aunts, Vickie Byers of North Aurora, Illinois and Jeanette Bonifas of Mount Vernon, Illinois; nephew, Trysten Lockwood; niece, Tynzlie Lockwood; several special cousins; many close friends, Coach Jeff Lonnon (Lady Rams), Paralee Scrivner and Jim; and his Kroger Buddies.

Bryan was preceded in death by his grandmother, Brenda Darlene Reynolds; grandparents, Jerry and Thelma Kluck; and cousin, Michael Bonifas.

Bryan graduated from Mount Vernon Township High School. During his time there, he was the manager of the girls basketball team and still to this day, Bryan enjoyed going to MVTHS and watching the girls play. After high school, he attended Illinois School for the Visually Impaired in Jacksonville, Illinois for four years. Bryan was an avid Saint Louis Cardinals, Blues and Mount Vernon High School Rams fan. Bryan radiated his positive attitude not only in high school sports but also at Kroger where he worked. He gave the biggest hugs and never met a stranger. Everyone that knew Bryan loved him deeply. He touched many hearts in his short life and will be dearly missed by all.

A Visitation will be held Wednesday, January 3, 2024 from 4:00 pm to 7:00 pm at Newell Funeral Home in Mount Vernon, Illinois. A Funeral Service will begin at 7:00 pm with Mr. Lance Boldt officiating. Memorials may be made in Bryan’s honor to Mount Vernon Township High School Lady Rams.
