WASHINGTON COUNTY — A Washington County judge ordered a 28-year-old Missouri man detained in the Washington County Jail on drug and weapons charges.

Judge Daniel Emge found cause Thursday to deny Dylon Jackson’s pretrial release in a case charging him with Class X felony armed violence and Class 4 felony possession of a controlled substance.

Nashville, Illinois police arrested Jackson Monday night after they responded to a domestic dispute call in the 600 block of South Kaskaskia Street and reportedly found Jackson in possession of a handgun with hundreds of rounds of ammunition, access to a 9mm rifle, an automatic shotgun that was loaded with slugs, and additional ammunition. Officers also reportedly found a large quantity of narcotics, paraphernalia, and a scale.

Police say they were also made aware of terroristic threats/comments that Jackson had been making and that he’d made comments about having a shootout with police if they were called.

A status hearing in the case is set for 10 a.m. April 30 in the Washington County Courthouse.
