MARION – Black Diamond Harley-Davidson in Marion is proud to partner with Deaconess Illinois Medical Center, Shawnee Health, and SIU Family Medicine for a vital community event aimed at promoting breast cancer awareness and early detection.

It will be held on Saturday, Oct 19, from 10 a.m. to 2 p.m., at Black Diamond Harley-Davidson, where free on-site breast exams and screenings will be offered.

This event underscores the importance of early detection for both women and men. Participants can expect the following services:

  • Free Breast Exams & Screenings: Conducted on-site.
  • Mammograms: Available at Deaconess Illinois Medical Center, accepting Medicaid, private insurance, and self-pay options. Financial assistance is available for those who qualify.
  • Women’s Pap Exams: Provided by Shawnee Health. Insurances will be billed, and financial assistance is also available.

As part of “TA-TA-Tober,” Black Diamond’s month-long breast cancer awareness campaign, the event will also feature a Survivors & Caregivers Breakfast, from 8:30 a.m. to 10 a.m., welcoming cancer patients, survivors, and caregivers for a complimentary meal.
