CENTRALIA, IL — A Centralia woman was charged with aggravated battery and resisting a peace officer following an incident that police say happened on March 6. 26-year-old Brook Nossett allegedly chest-pumped a Centralia police sergeant while he was on duty, and later pulled away from another officer while being escorted to the police station. She was released on pretrial conditions and is scheduled for a preliminary hearing on April 15. A public defender has been appointed to represent her.
