Janetha Boyles Duncan, age 91 and formerly of Salem, passed away on Sunday, November 12, 2023 in Carrolton, Texas.

Janetha was born to Roscoe and Reba (Geibe) Boyles on September 29,1932 in Stevenson Township, Marion County.  Janetha was a 1949 graduate of Salem Community High School and worked both as a Bell Telephone operator and a ticket salesperson at the Salem Theatre.

She married Randall Oscar Duncan in Salem, Illinois and from that marriage, sons Martin Alan Duncan and Randall Oscar Duncan Jr. were born.  The family relocated to Dallas, Texas in 1962 and Janetha worked several jobs, but finished her career in 1995 with the JC Penny Corporate Office.

Janetha is survived by son, Martin Alan Duncan of Burleson, Texas, brother Larry R. Boyles and wife Liz of Salem, sister-in-law, Joan Boyles and nephew Kent Alan Boyles of Salem, niece Amber Boyles-Pellock and husband Michael Pellock of Edwardsville, nephew Ryan Boyles of Nashville, Tennessee and many cousins.

Janetha was preceded in death by her parents, Roscoe and Reba Boyles and son Randall Oscar Duncan Jr. and her brother, Harold Geibe Boyles, who passed away in April 2024 after her passing.

Private graveside service will be held at Paradise Cemetery in Salem with David Lusch officiating.  Crouse Funeral Home in Salem is assisting the family with arrangements.  Online condolences and memories can be left at www.CrouseFH.com.
