Wanda Lee Nash, age 95, of Xenia, Illinois, passed away on Tuesday, March 31, 2026, at Axiom Gardens in Flora.
Wanda was born on February 22, 1931, in Flora, the daughter of Ruby and Clara (Boehner) Reddish. She grew up in the Flora area and was a proud graduate of Flora High School.
On March 11, 1952, Wanda married the love of her life, Clinton “Junior” Harrison Nash Jr. Together, they built a life rooted in hard work, faith, and family. In 1956, they purchased a farm in Xenia, where Wanda worked faithfully alongside her husband for many years. They shared 59 years of marriage until Junior’s passing in August of 2011.
Wanda was a devoted farm wife and also worked outside the home, including six years at Four Sisters Sewing Factory in Flora and 27 years at Spartan Manufacturing. She took great pride in her work and in caring for her family.
She was a longtime member of Golden Methodist Church and enjoyed a variety of hobbies throughout her life. Wanda loved gardening, cooking, sewing, quilting, crocheting, and spending time fishing with her sister and grandchildren. Her greatest joy, however, was her family. Wanda had a way of making everyone feel special and had a servant’s heart.
Wanda is survived by her daughters, Linda Hurd and husband Ed of Xenia, and Brenda Crouse and husband Jim of Salem; her sister, Virginia Reddish of Flora; her grandchildren, Tammy Prochazka and husband Jack, Brian Hurd, Jason Hurd and wife Natalie, Rich Crouse and wife Mallory, and Ryan Crouse and wife Chelsey; her great-grandchildren, Ali, Bridgett, Lucas, Jacob, Jaxon, Harrison, Weston, Nolan, Teagan, Baylor, Cohen, Kennedy, Forrest, and Fallon; along with five great-great grandchildren,
She was preceded in death by her parents and her husband, Clinton “Junior” Nash.
Wanda will be remembered for her strong faith, work ethic, her loving heart, and the legacy of family she leaves behind.
Services will be announced at a later date.
