Ryan Jacklin is facing charges of Class X felony delivery of between 15 and 100 grams of methamphetamine, Class 3 felony being a felon in possession of a firearm and two counts Class 4 felony possession of a controlled substance.

Jacklin is scheduled for a final pre-trial hearing in the case at 2:30 p.m. on February 16, but is also scheduled for a status hearing that morning on two felony cases in Marion County.

Jacklin was arrested in September 2016 when he was a passenger in a vehicle being driven in Olney.  A K-9 alert on the vehicle led to a search and the alleged discovery of the drugs and a firearm.

He was arrested along with 22-year-old Brittany Bunton, of Salem. Bunton was charged with the same offenses as Jacklin, but she was eventually released from the Richland County jail on a $10,000 personal recognizance bond. Jacklin has remained in the Richland County jail since that time, with his bail set at $25,000 cash.

The driver of the vehicle was not charged.

At the time of his arrest in Olney, Jacklin was free on bond in Washington County where he faces similar felony charges, including manufacture of more than 400 grams of meth protected by a firearm and possession of a shotgun with a barrel of less than 18 inches.

His jury trial in Washington County has been continued until April 24, and it is believed he could be facing federal charges as well.
