Lamar Williams was arrested Friday morning on a Jefferson County warrant charging him with a petition to revoke probation from the reckless discharge of a firearm, a charge that is not related to the January murder of 26-year-old DeAndray Jackson in a Mt. Vernon alley.

Williams remains in the Marion County, Indiana jail awaiting extradition back to Jefferson County. His bail has been set at $100,000 or 10-percent cash.

The shooting took place during an alleged attempted robbery. Prosecutors have already charged 18-year-old Lekedrieon Russell with first-degree murder for Jackson’s death.

He was arrested earlier this month by the U.S. Marshal Service in Springfield, Ill., and was eventually transported to the Jefferson County jail where he remains with bail set at $3 million.

A 20-year-old Mt. Vernon man, John Wells, was arrested earlier this month at a private residence in Bridgeton, Missouri.

Wells was initially considered a person of interest but was later named a first-degree murder suspect. He is being held in the Jefferson County jail with bail set at $3 million.

Also arrested in connection with the case is 21-year-old Dantrez Brown, and a 17-year-old male juvenile. They both face charges of obstruction in connection with Jackson’s death.
