FAYETTE COUNTY — A 33-year-old man wanted in connection with an overnight shooting has been captured in Fayette County after authorities had him contained for several hours in an area north of Shobonier.
According to the Fayette County Sheriff’s Office, Trevor McCammack was taken into custody shortly before 9 a.m. Monday.
While McCammack remained on the loose, authorities urged the public in the Shobonier area to be alert as he was believed to be armed and dangerous.
The shooting happened overnight in the Shobonier area. McCammack was contained to an area north of OB’s Place, a gaming bar northeast of U.S. 51.
He was ultimately taken into custody after he was located in a farm field north of the Shobonier business.
No information has been released at this time regarding the overnight shooting.
