The arrest of John ‘Matt’ Doyle of the 4500 block of Kinoka Road was the result of a methamphetamine distribution investigation led by the South Eastern Illinois Drug Task Force agents. The investigation began in July.
Agents of the drug task force, assisted by the US Marshals Service Fugitive Task Force and the Marion County Sheriff’s Department took Doyle into custody and executed a search warrant of Doyle’s residence locating additional controlled substances, ammunition, and a firearm.
Doyle is currently being held in the Marion County Jail and is scheduled for an October 5 arraignment in federal court in East St. Louis.
The drug task force reports the case is open and ongoing with no additional information being released.
