MARION COUNTY — A 21-year-old Wamac man was sentenced today in Marion County Court to 18-months in prison after he pleaded guilty to Class 4 felony aggravated fleeing police.

Destrian Doza was arrested in October following a police pursuit that began in Salem and ended west of Central City where he crashed his girlfriend’s car and then swam across a creek in his attempt to elude police.

In addition to the 18-month prison sentence, Doza will have to serve 1-year mandatory supervised release.
