MARION COUNTY — Bail has been set at $30,000 for a 25-year-old Centralia man arrested over the weekend after Centralia police responded to a call reporting a domestic dispute.

Bryce McCray was charged in Marion County court this morning with Class 2 felony aggravated battery of a peace officer and Class 4 felony domestic battery.

When police first responded to the disturbance call Friday night, a person came out of the home and told them they were not needed and that the altercation was over.

However, officers could still hear signs of the altercation coming from inside the home and once officers were inside the home, McCray twice allegedly grabbed one of the officer’s arms.

He alleged had to be taken to the ground and handcuffed after he refused to back off and go outside for questioning.
