MOUNT VERNON — Marshall Lee Wilson, 88, of Mount Vernon, Illinois, passed away at 6:45 pm July 30, 2023 at his home.

He was born October 9, 1934 in Farrington Township, Illinois to the late Clyde and Virgie (Thomas) Wilson.

Marshall is survived by his life partner, Barbara (Tate) Wilson of Mount Vernon; children, Roger Wilson and wife, Debi of Spring Hill, Tennessee, Alan Wilson of Bloomington, Illinois, Cindy Ziegler and husband, Gale of Normal, Illinois, and Misty Lee Wilson and husband, Pete of Benton, Illinois; several grandchildren, great-grandchildren, and great-great-grandchildren; brother, Donald Wilson and wife, Jean; sister, MaryAnne Cook and husband, Dale; several nieces and nephews.

In addition to his parents, Marshall was preceded in death by his brother, Clyde Leonard “Bud” Wilson; and infant brother, James Wilson. Marshall owned and operated Oasis Tavern in Mount Vernon for over 40 years.
