CENTRALIA — Nancy (Boswell) Van Dillen passed away June 2, 2022, at Centralia Manor.
She was born in Cincinnati Ohio, on September 24, 1968, the daughter of Dr. Dee Boswell and Janet Sue Boswell, RN.

Nancy was a graduate of the Centralia City Schools and Centralia High School. She attended Eastern Illinois University and graduated from Illinois State University with a BS in Speech-Language Pathology. She completed Post- a graduate MS in Speech-Language Pathology with certification in Clinical Competence (CCC-SLP) from St. Louis University.
Nancy was a member of Girl Scouts and traveled with the Girl Scouts to Mexico. She spent one year in Hjorring Denmark as a Rotary Exchange Student, living with special host parents, Jorgen and Unni Boe.
Nancy practiced Speech-Language Pathology at Health South in St. Louis and at Menard Prison in Chester Illinois.
Nancy married Tom Van Dillen PhD, on October 6, 1996, and he survives her, In addition to her parents, Nancy is survived by her loving sister Julie Boswell and JonDarr Bradshaw of Cleveland, Ohio. Also surviving are several aunts, uncles and cousins.
Nancy was preceded in death by a brother, Danny Boswell, grandparents, Alfred and Hazel Boswell and GP and Velma Williams.
Her special canine loves were Lille and Leo. Nancy was a member of the First United Presbyterian Church in Centralia.
Nancy will be cremated per her wishes and there will be no visitation. A family gathering will be held at a later date. In lieu of flowers, memorial donations may be made to the charity of choice and will be accepted at the Sutherland-Garnier Funeral Home and Cremation Services at 235 North Sycamore Street Centralia, Illinois 62801, 618-532-3523, are honored to be of service to the Boswell family.
