MOUNT VERNON — Nancy Ann Hill, 77, of Mount Vernon, Illinois, passed away at 9:32 pm December 19, 2023 at Crossroads Community Hospital in Mount Vernon. She was born May 2, 1946 in Evansville, Indiana to the late William and Lorena (Hartz) Head. Nancy married Douglas Craig Hill on September 18, 1989.

In addition to her beloved husband of thirty-four years, Nancy is survived by her daughters, Denise Oathout and husband, Chris of Mount Vernon, Illinois, Stacey Vuichard and husband, Darren, Lynne Mulch and husband, Justin; son, Matt Hill and wife, Deana; grandchildren, James Campise, Jospeh Campise and wife, Karli, Christian Oathout, Wesley Oathout, Bryson Oathout, Ally Vuichard, Alex Vuichard, Abby Vuichard, Lainey Mulch, Jentry Mulch and Winter Hill; sister-in-law, Jennie Head; and several nieces and nephews.

In addition to her parents, Nancy was preceded in death by her brother, Michael Head.

Nancy loved yard work and crafts. She enjoyed motorcycle riding and camping. Above all, Nancy loved her family and enjoyed spending time with her grandchildren.

A Visitation will be held Tuesday, December 26, 2023 from 5:00 pm to 7:00 pm at Newell Funeral Home in Mount Vernon, Illinois. A Funeral Service will be held Wednesday, December 27, 2023 at 1:30 pm at Newell Funeral Home in Mount Vernon, Illinois with Reverend Randy Hayes officiating. Interment will follow at East Salem Cemetery in Mount Vernon, Illinois. Memorials may be made in Nancy’s honor to American Cancer Society or American Heart Association.
